Description
American Traveler is hiring an experienced Neuroscience ICU RN with strong critical care and prior travel nursing experience for a 13-week assignment.
Details
- Work in a 24-bed Neuroscience ICU caring for critically ill adult patients with diagnoses such as neurotrauma, status epilepticus, stroke, and spinal cord injury with complex comorbidities and multisystem organ involvement
- Clinician to patient ratio of 1:2
- Current unit census of 22 patients
- 36 hours per week on a rotating day/night shift schedule
- Every other weekend and every other holiday rotation required
- Uses Epic for charting
Requirements
- Active MA RN license required, no conditional or pending licenses accepted
- BLS certification required, AHA only
- Primary source verification of license/certification required within 30 days of start and updated upon expiration, via both NURSYS and BON
- Minimum 2 years of strong critical care nursing experience required
- Minimum 1 year of travel nursing experience required
- 2+ years of neuro critical care nursing experience preferred
- Flu vaccine required with no religious or medical exemptions allowed
Additional Information
- Provide direct nursing care to critically ill neuroscience ICU patients with complex, multisystem conditions
- Local candidates within 60 miles of the facility may be considered at a reduced rate compared to standard travel rate
- RTO must be disclosed at the time of consideration
