Description

American Traveler is hiring a Med/Surg Telemetry RN for a 28-bed PCU/IMCU cardiac unit at a high-acuity Level 1 trauma center, requiring at least 2 years of similar experience.

Details

• Hybrid unit combining stepdown and telemetry med/surg patients
• 28-bed PCU/IMCU with cardiac patient population
• Patient ratio of 1:3-4
• Manages STEMI, NSTEMI, CTS, and C/P cases
• Administers cardiac drips including Milrinone, Dobutamine, and pressors
• May be assigned to telemetry beds within the same unit with lower acuity levels
• 12-hour day shifts, 3 shifts per week
• Travelers expected to work 4 weekend shifts per month
• Block scheduling generally not approved
• No on-call requirements

Requirements

• Active RN license (GA state license or Compact) required
• Current BLS and ACLS certifications required
• Minimum 2 years of experience in a similar sized facility required
• Experience in high-acuity, high-volume trauma hospitals required
• Proven success managing critical, fast-paced, large-scale trauma cases required

Additional Information

• Provide nursing care to cardiac stepdown and telemetry patients
• Works in a high-acuity, inner-city Level 1 trauma center handling complex and challenging cases
• Local candidates accepted at the same rate as travel rate
