Description

American Traveler is hiring an experienced RN for a Med/Surg Oncology unit requiring an AL or compact RN license and 2+ years of recent experience.

Details

• Work on a 18-bed Med/Surg Oncology unit within a hospital setting
• Care for oncology, palliative, post-op bariatric, and med/surg overflow patients
• Patient ratio of 6:1
• Uses computer charting, IV pump, vital sign machine, and other basic medical equipment
• Cerner EMR experience preferred
• Night shift schedule, 3x12s, 18:45-07:15
• Required to work every other weekend
• No on-call requirements
• Floating required as needed within scope, including to other facilities within a 25-mile radius

Requirements

• Active RN license (AL or Compact) required
• Current certifications: BLS and NIHSS (AHA only accepted)
• Minimum 2 years of recent RN experience required
• Med/Surg experience required
• Acute care experience preferred

• Navy scrubs required; only scrubs and scrub jackets are acceptable attire
• Candidates must reside more than 50 miles from the facility to be eligible for this travel position
