Description

American Traveler is seeking an RN for a Med Surg/Telemetry position requiring active Illinois licensure and prior Med Surg, Telemetry, or Stepdown experience with some oncology background.

Details

• Level 1 trauma center hospital setting in Rock Island, IL
• Med Surg/Telemetry unit caring for a general medical-surgical patient population with some oncology cases
• 12-hour day shifts from 7:00 AM to 7:00 PM
• 36 hours per week schedule
• Every other weekend required
• No on-call requirements
• May float within the same discipline across local campuses
• May be asked to take charge and/or precept new hires
• Uses Epic EMR

Requirements

• Active Illinois RN license required at time of consideration
• Active or pending Iowa RN license (single-state or compact) required
• BLS and ACLS certification (AHA) required
• Med Surg, Telemetry, or Stepdown experience required
• Some oncology experience required
• Epic EMR experience required
• Driver's license required for consideration
• Supervisory reference from within 2 years of employment/contract required

Additional Information

• Contribute professional and clinical knowledge as part of an interdisciplinary care team
• Provide and manage patient care in a Med Surg/Telemetry unit setting
• Must reside outside a 50-mile radius from the facility to qualify for travel rate
• Required to work 2 of the 3 winter holidays (Christmas, New Year's, or Thanksgiving)
• Limited to 1 day off request during the periods of 11/26-11/30 and 12/23-1/2, regardless of holidays worked
• Candidates previously employed by the facility within the past 12 months may not be eligible for consideration
• First-time travelers may be considered
