Description
American Traveler is hiring a Cath Lab Technologist with 2+ years of experience and RCIS or ARRT certification for a teaching hospital cardiac catheterization lab.
Details
- Work in a Magnet-designated teaching hospital's Cardiac Cath Lab
- 4x10 hour day shifts, typically 7:30 AM-6:00 PM (Wednesdays 7:00 AM-5:30 PM)
- On-call obligation of approximately 4-6 days per month, including up to 1 weekend per month
- Floating within the hospital is required, but not to sister facilities
- Uses EPIC for charting
- Uses GE MacLab/CardioLab equipment
Requirements
- Minimum 2 years of Cath Lab experience required
- ACLS and BLS certification required
- RCIS (CCI) or ARRT certification required
- Washington State Radiology License required, if applicable
- EPIC charting experience required
- Experience scrubbing and monitoring Cath procedures, including PCIs and support devices (IABP and Impella)
- Skilled in cardiac cath lab procedures including left/right heart catheterization, PCI, PTCA, cardiac stent placement, IABP placement/removal, Impella insertion, and rotablator atherectomy
- Additional experience with temporary pacing wires, IVUS, CSI, Shockwave, and FFR/IFR preferred
- Must be able to serve as room circulator and maintain sterile field
Additional Information
- Responsibilities include procedural monitoring, room circulation, and scrubbing in to maintain a sterile field during cardiac catheterization procedures
- First-time travelers will be considered depending on experience
- Scrubs are provided in any color
- RTO is limited to 1 week maximum, with facility closures on Thanksgiving, the day after Thanksgiving, Christmas Day, and New Year's Day
- Local candidates are accepted at the same rate as travel candidates
- Prior UW staff must have an 18-month separation before returning as a traveler
- COVID vaccination and booster required with no exceptions
