Description

American Traveler is hiring a Cath Lab Technologist with 2+ years of experience and RCIS or ARRT certification for a teaching hospital cardiac catheterization lab.

Details

Work in a Magnet-designated teaching hospital's Cardiac Cath Lab
4x10 hour day shifts, typically 7:30 AM-6:00 PM (Wednesdays 7:00 AM-5:30 PM)
On-call obligation of approximately 4-6 days per month, including up to 1 weekend per month
Floating within the hospital is required, but not to sister facilities
Uses EPIC for charting
Uses GE MacLab/CardioLab equipment

Requirements

Minimum 2 years of Cath Lab experience required
ACLS and BLS certification required
RCIS (CCI) or ARRT certification required
Washington State Radiology License required, if applicable
EPIC charting experience required
Experience scrubbing and monitoring Cath procedures, including PCIs and support devices (IABP and Impella)
Skilled in cardiac cath lab procedures including left/right heart catheterization, PCI, PTCA, cardiac stent placement, IABP placement/removal, Impella insertion, and rotablator atherectomy
Additional experience with temporary pacing wires, IVUS, CSI, Shockwave, and FFR/IFR preferred
Must be able to serve as room circulator and maintain sterile field

Additional Information

Responsibilities include procedural monitoring, room circulation, and scrubbing in to maintain a sterile field during cardiac catheterization procedures
First-time travelers will be considered depending on experience
Scrubs are provided in any color
RTO is limited to 1 week maximum, with facility closures on Thanksgiving, the day after Thanksgiving, Christmas Day, and New Year's Day
Local candidates are accepted at the same rate as travel candidates
Prior UW staff must have an 18-month separation before returning as a traveler
COVID vaccination and booster required with no exceptions
