Description

American Traveler is hiring a Cath Lab / EP Technologist with 2+ years of cardiac cath lab experience and ARRT certification for a 13-week assignment.

Details

• Work in a cardiac cath lab setting with 2 cath labs plus rotation into the EP lab
• Perform 8-10 procedures per day including 6-8 STEMI cases per month
• Day shift schedule of 4x10 hours from 7:00 AM to 5:30 PM
• Monday through Friday schedule with 1 rotating weekday off each week
• Call requirement of 8-15 days per month plus 1 weekend every 3 weeks
• Must respond within 30 minutes for STEMI alerts as part of a call team consisting of 2 RNs and 1 Rad Tech
• Floating required within scope of practice
• Patient ratios may vary based on staffing and census

Requirements

• Minimum of 2 years of experience in Cath Lab/EP specialty required
• Current AHA BLS and AHA ACLS certification required
• ARRT certification required
• KY state license required; license required if applicable
• Candidates willing to apply for KY licensure upon offer may be considered, but must apply the day of acceptance
• Experience with diagnostic and interventional cardiology procedures including radial and groin access
• Proficiency with devices/tools such as Shockwave, Balloon Pump, Impella, EKOS, Penumbra, and ACIST injector
• Experience with device implants including pacemakers and ICDs (single, dual, Bi-V)
• EP experience preferred; cross-training in EP ablations available

Additional Information

• Responsibilities include table panning and scrubbing for diagnostic and interventional cardiology cases
• Assist with peripheral diagnostics and interventions
• Scrubs and lead apron provided
• Orientation held bi-weekly
• Candidates must live 75+ miles from the facility; local candidates will not be considered
• Up to 7 days of RTO may be considered and must be presented upfront with no changes accepted
• Must work either a major or minor holiday during the assignment
• Travelers who have worked one year in the system must take a minimum 6-month break before being eligible to return
• First-time travelers may be considered
