Description

American Traveler is seeking a Physical Therapist for an Acute Care Hospital setting, requiring at least 1 year of acute care PT experience and BLS certification.

Details

• Inpatient/Acute Care PT setting
• Day shift options of 5x8 or 4x10 hours with a flexible start time between 0700-0930
• Every other weekend coverage is negotiated
• Epic EMR experience required

Requirements

• Minimum 1 year of acute care physical therapy experience required
• Current BLS certification required
• Epic charting system experience required
• Long Term Acute Care (LTAC) and Trauma Level II experience preferred
• License required if applicable

Additional Information

• Responsibilities include patient assessment, evaluation, treatment planning, and documentation across the care continuum
• Skilled in use of adaptive and assistive devices such as gait belts, walkers, sliding boards, and lifts
• Experience with cardiopulmonary conditions such as COPD, CHF, CABG, and MI
• Works with diverse patient populations including geriatrics, neurology, oncology, and orthopedics
• Provides home exercise programs and patient/family education
• Open to first-time travelers
• Local candidates accepted at a reduced rate
• Candidates must reside at least 50 miles from the facility to qualify for travel rate
• Previous employees must be separated from the facility for at least 1 year before returning as a traveler
• Orientation includes up to 4 hours of non-billable training modules completed through MyPath
