Description

American Traveler is seeking an experienced Cath Lab/EP RN with SC or Compact license and required EP/Cath experience for a 13-week acute care hospital assignment.

Details

Work in the Diagnostic Cardiac Cath Lab and Electrophysiology (EP) Lab of an acute care hospital
1:1 patient ratio
Day shift schedule of 4x10-hour shifts, 7:00 AM to 5:30 PM
Weekend requirement tied to call schedule
On-call required one weekend (Friday, Saturday, Sunday) per month plus one weekday call shift per week, subject to change based on staffing needs
No floating between service lines or to sister facilities required
Epic EMR used for charting
Hospital-issued scrubs provided for Cath Lab

Requirements

Active SC RN license or Compact license required in hand prior to start
Current BLS and ACLS certifications required (AHA certifications only)
Minimum 2 years of RN experience required
EP/Cath Lab experience required
Community hospital experience required
Experience with cardiac cath lab procedures including cardiac stent placement, diagnostic and interventional catheterizations, Impella insertion, left and right heart catheterization
Skilled in circulating procedures, dysrhythmia interpretation/management, and procedural sedation monitoring
Radiation badge required, to be provided by the assigned agency
Driver's license and SSN required for consideration

Additional Information

Responsibilities include circulating cardiac cath lab and EP procedures, administering and monitoring procedural sedation, and managing dysrhythmias
304 staffed bed acute care hospital setting
First-time travelers accepted
Previous perm or PRN staff must be separated from the health system for at least 1 year before returning as a traveler
Local candidates accepted on a case-by-case basis at a reduced rate; non-local candidates are prioritized within a 60-mile radius rule
Block scheduling may be accommodated with manager approval based on unit needs
Facility may call off up to 1 shift per 2 weeks
Travelers should be aware that during hurricane season (June through November, peak August-September), all staff may be assigned to emergency response teams
