Description
American Traveler is hiring a Travel RN for the Main Operating Room requiring 2+ years of experience and ortho major joint case experience.
Details
- Work in the Main Operating Room of a hospital surgical department
- Unit consists of 13 operating rooms staffed by RNs, surgical techs, support staff, and board runners
- 1:1 patient ratios
- Uses Stryker Ortho systems, Stryker lap towers, two DIV Xi robots, MAKO Navigation (Stryker), and OMNI navigation equipment
- Documentation completed in Meditech
- Performs all surgical cases except open heart, transplants, and eyes
- Call requirement of 4-5 shifts per 4-week period
- Weekend rotation required
- No set block schedule, but reasonable scheduling provided
- Floating to other areas required if operating rooms are shut down, with internal staff prioritized first
Requirements
- Active RN license (GA or Compact)
- Current BLS certification required
- Minimum 2 years of recent OR experience required
- Ortho major joint, general, urology (open and cysto), and minor vascular surgical experience required
- Major vascular experience a plus
- AORN guidelines adherence required
- US Social Security Number and date of birth required for consideration
- No gaps in work history of 90 days or more within the past 12 months
Additional Information
- Facility scrubs provided
- Sterile processing located on the same floor as the OR
- On-site cafeteria and parking garage with no parking fees
- Must reside more than 50 miles from the facility to be eligible for this position
- First-time travelers may be considered
