Description
American Traveler is hiring an experienced RN for an ICU/Step-Down ICU night shift position requiring Level 1 Trauma Center ICU experience and an active IL RN license.
Details
- Work in the ICU and Step-Down ICU units of a hospital and trauma center
- Cardiovascular ICU, Critical Care, CVICU, and Neurology ICU sub-specialties within scope
- Night shift schedule from 7:00 PM to 7:30 AM
- 13-week assignment length
- Floating to Step-Down ICU required
Requirements
- Active IL RN license currently in hand
- Current certifications: BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS
- Minimum 2 years of RN experience required
- Strong ICU experience at a Level 1 Trauma Center required
- Graduate of an accredited nursing program with education verification required
Additional Information
- Utilize the nursing process while collaborating with interdisciplinary team members to care for patients
- Administer prescribed medications and treatments according to approved nursing techniques, policies, and standards of care
- Develop, initiate, and execute individualized patient plans of care as prescribed by physicians and hospital policy, including patient and family instruction
- Participate in department or unit performance improvement activities, which may include shared governance
- Provide clinical expertise and guidance to other units and departments supporting the patient's longitudinal plan of care
- Apply critical thinking to patient safety and experience, escalating concerns through the appropriate chain of command as needed
- COVID-19 vaccination required for consideration
