Description

American Traveler is hiring an experienced RN for a Pediatric Cardiovascular ICU position requiring 2 years of CVPICU/PICU experience and an OH or Compact RN license.

Details

• , (CVPICU) unit within a pediatric hospital setting
• Cares for critically ill pediatric cardiovascular patients including congenital heart disease repair, post cardiac surgery, and ECMO cases
• Night shift schedule, 3x12-hour shifts from 19:00 to 07:30
• 13-week assignment length
• Floating required to NICU, PICU, ED, stepdown, and Med-Surg units as needed

Requirements

• Active OH State or Compact RN license required, license must be in hand
• Current BLS, ACLS, and PALS certifications required
• Minimum 2 years of CVPICU or PICU experience required
• 2 years of pediatric hospital experience required (hard stop requirement)
• 2 supervisory references required, at least one from a manager/supervisor titled reference
• Skilled in respiratory care including ventilator management, ETT/NT suctioning, tracheostomy care, and ABG interpretation
• Experience with IV therapy, arterial line management, central line care, and PICC line management
• Experience with hemodynamic monitoring and interpretation/management of dysrhythmias preferred
• Experience with ECMO, post cardiac catheterization/surgery care, and VAD (LVAD/RVAD) management preferred
• Experience with CRRT preferred
• Skilled in continuous sedation, IV vasopressors, and pediatric dosage calculations
• Knowledge of isolation precautions and PPE use

Additional Information

• Provide direct nursing care to critically ill pediatric cardiovascular patients
• Candidates must not have worked in a permanent role at the facility within the past 2 years
• No local candidates allowed within a 60-mile radius
• Floating to other units is a strong expectation and point of emphasis at this facility
• First-time travelers are not considered for this position
