Description

American Traveler is hiring an experienced RN for a Labor & Delivery position requiring NJ or compact RN licensure and ACLS/BLS certification.

Details

• Work in the Delivery Room unit of a hospital environment
• PM shift schedule from 7p to 7a
• 36 hours per week across 3 days per day at 12 hours per shift
• Floating required as needed, including to a sister hospital nearby
• No on-call responsibilities
• Uses EPIC EMR for charting

Requirements

• Active NJ or compact RN license required
• Current BLS and ACLS certifications required
• Graduate of an accredited School of Nursing
• Associate's or Bachelor's Degree in Nursing preferred
• EPIC charting experience preferred

• Deliver competent nursing care across all stages of growth and development from pediatric to geriatric populations
• Perform thorough, systematic patient assessments and maintain accurate documentation
• Provide patient and family education throughout the continuum of care
• Follow National Patient Safety Goals including Universal Protocol and use of two patient identifiers
• Maintain patient confidentiality in accordance with HIPAA guidelines
• Collaborate with the care team to prioritize patient needs and respond to changes in condition
• Local candidates accepted
• Travelers may remain on assignment for up to one calendar year from the initial start date, after which a 30-60 day break is required before returning to a new assignment
