Description

American Traveler is hiring a Med/Surg RN for a night shift contract position requiring 2+ years of Med/Surg experience and an active Michigan RN license.

Details

• Med/Surg unit within a hospital setting
• Night shift schedule from 7:00 PM to 7:30 AM
• 12-hour shifts on a 13-week contract
• Weekend and holiday work required
• On-call requirements include weekends and holidays

Requirements

• Active Michigan RN license required, verified at time of submission
• BLS certification (AHA) required
• Minimum 2 years of Med/Surg experience required
• ICU experience preferred
• Skills checklist completed within one year of application required

Additional Information

• Provide direct and indirect patient care across assigned patient populations
• Apply the nursing process including assessment, planning, intervention, and evaluation of care
• Demonstrate knowledge of growth and development principles across the life span
• Interpret patient data appropriately based on age and status per unit and hospital policies
• Maximum of 5 days RTO may be requested during the contract
• Full-time employees of the health system are not eligible for contract hire within six months of employment
