Description

American Traveler is seeking a Certified Respiratory Therapist for a day shift travel position requiring at least 1 year of experience in ICU, general floors, and ED settings.

Details

• Hospital-based respiratory therapy department
• Provides cardiopulmonary services to both inpatients and outpatients
• Requires experience covering ICU, general floors, and ED
• Minimal NICU and Peds exposure needed, sufficient to support ED coverage
• Day shift schedule, 3x12-hour shifts from 6:30 AM to 7:00 PM
• 13-week assignment duration

Requirements

• Certified Respiratory Therapist (CRT) credential through the National Board of Respiratory Care
• License required if applicable
• BLS and ACLS certifications required
• Minimum 1 year of recent experience in respiratory therapy
• Experience in ICU, general floors, and ED required
• No gaps in work history of 90 days or more within the past 12 months
• Certifications must not expire within the first 30 days of assignment start

Additional Information

• Follow medical staff-approved protocols and department policies to deliver timely diagnostic and therapeutic services
• Assist physicians with invasive and non-invasive procedures
• Deliver medicated aerosols via medical compressed gas
• Perform airway management, ventilator management, intubations, and blood gas analysis
• Does not accept local candidates within a 50-mile radius
• RTO requests must be less than 1 week
• Not eligible if candidate has worked as permanent staff at this facility within the past 2 years
• First-time travelers will be considered
