Description

American Traveler is hiring a RN for a Med/Surg Tele position offering flexibility as a Critical Care or ED Float and welcoming candidates of all experience levels.

Details

• Hospital-based Med/Surg Tele unit with float responsibilities to Critical Care or Emergency Department
• Day shift, 12-hour schedule
• 36 hours per week across 5 days
• Full-time position at 1.0 FTE

Requirements

• Active, unrestricted RN license in KY or Compact required
• BLS certification required
• ADN or ASN required, BSN preferred
• No prior nursing experience required, though previous experience is preferred
• Ability to assess age-specific patient safety needs and implement appropriate safety measures
• Comfortable using computer systems and applications or ability to be trained

Additional Information

• Provide direct patient care including assessments, treatments, and nursing rounds
• Facilitate admission, transfer, and discharge activities including discharge teaching and coordination with Case Management
• Deliver patient and family-centered education and individualized treatment planning
• Delegate and oversee patient care tasks performed by other team members
• Participate in unit-based quality improvement activities including patient satisfaction, falls prevention, and pressure ulcer monitoring
• Collaborate effectively with interdisciplinary care team members
