Description
American Traveler is hiring a Travel RN for a Labor & Delivery unit requiring 2 years of L&D experience and NRP/BLS certification.
Details
- LDRP unit within a hospital's main building on the 2nd floor
- 10 LDR beds, 3 triage beds, and 2 OR suites staffed by 30 RNs
- Day shift staffing includes 1 charge nurse, 2 LDR nurses, and 1 nursery nurse
- Night shift staffing includes 1 charge nurse, 2 LDR nurses, and 1 nursery nurse
- Patient ratio of 2 laboring patients to 1 RN
- Equipment used includes GE monitoring, Novii Wireless, Spectrum IV Pumps, and CADD epidural PCA
- EMR system used is Meditech
- Typical procedures include inductions, C-sections, and SVDs
- 13-week assignment with a 7:00 AM - 7:00 PM shift schedule
Requirements
- Active RN license (VA or Compact) currently in hand
- Minimum 2 years of recent RN experience required
- Current certifications: NRP and BLS required
- Intermediate Fetal Monitoring (AWHONN) and ACLS preferred
- US Social Security Number and date of birth required for consideration
- One professional reference required
Additional Information
- Provide nursing care for laboring patients including inductions, C-sections, and SVDs within a collaborative LDRP unit
- OR scrubs required for staff on the unit
- Join a team known for strong communication and a friendly, engaged culture with a mix of new and experienced nurses
- Candidates must reside outside a 50-mile radius of the facility to be eligible for this position
- No gaps in work history totaling 90 days or more within the past 12 months
