Description

American Traveler is hiring an experienced RN for an Operating Room position requiring 2+ years of OR experience with Ortho Trauma, Craniotomy, and Trauma Level II expertise.

Details

• Operating Room unit within a Trauma Level II hospital setting
• Day shift schedule with 4x12-hour shifts from 7:00 AM to 7:30 PM
• Floating within scope may be required to meet facility needs
• Call requirements potentially include 2 weekdays every 6 weeks plus one weekend (Saturday and Sunday 12-hour shifts) every month and a half
• Weekend shifts required per unit need
• Uses Epic EMR system

Requirements

• Active RN license (Standard or Compact) required
• Current BLS certification required; ACLS and CNOR preferred
• Minimum 2 years of OR RN experience required
• Required hands-on experience in Ortho Trauma, Craniotomy, Trauma, and Trauma Level II cases
• Trauma Level II hospital experience required
• Epic EMR experience required
• First-time travelers considered with minimum 2 years of experience

Additional Information

• Perform circulating and scrub duties across a wide range of surgical specialties including vascular, orthopedic, neurology, trauma, general surgery, and more
• Assist with robotic-assisted surgical procedures using systems such as the Da Vinci Xi and Mako Surgical System
• Support surgical cases in General OR, Hybrid OR, and Trauma settings
• Maintain competency in emergency management protocols including code response, fire safety, and malignant hyperthermia procedures
• Candidates must reside outside a 75-mile radius of the facility to qualify for travel rate; local candidates are not accepted
• Maximum RTO of 7 total days permitted during the 13-week assignment
• Urgent start preferred for this assignment
