Description
American Traveler is seeking a Respiratory Therapist (RRT) with 2+ years of experience for a day shift position at a Level III Trauma Center and teaching hospital.
Details
- Short-term acute care, Level III Trauma Center and teaching hospital setting
- Respiratory Therapy department
- Works with adult and pediatric patients in ICU settings
- Day shift, 3x12 hour shifts from 6:00 to 18:00
- Weekend work required every other weekend
- Holiday coverage required
- Floating within scope required to meet facility needs, including to sister campus depending on booking
- No on-call requirements
- Epic charting system used
Requirements
- Minimum 2 years of experience required
- Current RRT certification, license required if applicable
- State or compact RRT licensure required, pending license not accepted
- Must be comfortable working with both adult and pediatric ICU patients
- ACLS certification required
- Must pass an Advanced EKG exam as part of compliance
- Epic EMR experience required
- SSN and DOB required for consideration
- At least 1 supervisor reference required
Additional Information
- 733 staffed bed facility
- Solid black or black and white scrub color requirement
- Candidates must be gone for 1 year before returning as a traveler
- Day shift positions limited to 1 extension before a 6-month break is required before reapplying
- Maximum 4 days of RTO allowed, with only 1 holiday approvable
- Locals are not accepted within a 50-mile radius of the main campus
- Vaccine exemption requests must be submitted promptly to avoid start delays
- First-time travelers may be considered for this position
