Description

American Traveler is seeking a Respiratory Therapist (RRT) with 2+ years of experience for a day shift position at a Level III Trauma Center and teaching hospital.

Details

• Short-term acute care, Level III Trauma Center and teaching hospital setting
• Respiratory Therapy department
• Works with adult and pediatric patients in ICU settings
• Day shift, 3x12 hour shifts from 6:00 to 18:00
• Weekend work required every other weekend
• Holiday coverage required
• Floating within scope required to meet facility needs, including to sister campus depending on booking
• No on-call requirements
• Epic charting system used

Requirements

• Minimum 2 years of experience required
• Current RRT certification, license required if applicable
• State or compact RRT licensure required, pending license not accepted
• Must be comfortable working with both adult and pediatric ICU patients
• ACLS certification required
• Must pass an Advanced EKG exam as part of compliance
• Epic EMR experience required
• SSN and DOB required for consideration
• At least 1 supervisor reference required

Additional Information

• 733 staffed bed facility
• Solid black or black and white scrub color requirement
• Candidates must be gone for 1 year before returning as a traveler
• Day shift positions limited to 1 extension before a 6-month break is required before reapplying
• Maximum 4 days of RTO allowed, with only 1 holiday approvable
• Locals are not accepted within a 50-mile radius of the main campus
• Vaccine exemption requests must be submitted promptly to avoid start delays
• First-time travelers may be considered for this position
