Description
American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for an Operating Room position requiring 2 years of OR experience and WV or Compact RN licensure.
Details
- Work in the Operating Room department of a hospital setting
- Home base in the OR with possible floating to day surgery, endoscopy, PACU, and holding areas
- Day shift schedule (5x8 hours), 6:45 AM to 3:15 PM
- 13-week assignment length
- Uses Cerner charting system
Requirements
- Active WV or Compact RN license required; pending license accepted for consideration
- Current certifications required: ACLS, BLS, and PALS through the American Heart Association (AHA)
- Minimum 2 years of RN experience required
- Community hospital experience preferred
- Minimum of 2 Manager and/or Charge Nurse references from within the past 2 years required
- Completion of non-billable modules required prior to start date (typically 2-6 hours)
Additional Information
- First-time travelers are welcome to apply
- Candidates must reside more than 100 miles from the facility; those between 75-100 miles may be considered case-by-case at the same rate
- Former permanent employees must wait 2 years from their last permanent employment date before returning as a traveler
- Current employees of Vandalia Health System (including CAMC Health Systems, Mon Health Systems, Davis Medical Center, Broaddus Hospital, Webster Memorial Hospital, Grafton City Hospital, Highland-Clarksburg Hospital, and Minnie Hamilton Health System) are not eligible for travel contracts within the health system
