Description
American Traveler is hiring a night shift MRI Technologist with 2+ years of MRI experience and ARRT certification for a role in a large academic medical center.
Details
- Hospital-based MRI department serving adolescent, adult, and geriatric patients
- Average daily census of 35-40 cases per day
- Block schedule with 5x8 hour night shifts, Thursday through Monday, 11:00 PM to 7:30 AM
- Uses EPIC EMR and PACS imaging system
- Siemens MRI equipment
Requirements
- Minimum 2 years of MRI experience required
- ARRT (R) certification required
- BLS certification required
- Valid Ohio state license required if applicable
- Education must be from an ACEN or CCNE accredited program
- Experience in Adult ICU, Adult Outpatient, and Pediatric Acute Care settings required
- Teaching hospital and Trauma Level I experience preferred
- Proficiency in abdominal, pelvis (female/male), chest, brain, face/neck, hip/bony pelvis, knee, and shoulder imaging required
- Spine imaging experience required (cervical, lumbar, thoracic)
- Experience with special imaging procedures including gradient echo, spin echo, T1/T2 weighted imaging, perfusion, spectroscopy, MIP, MRP, surface coils, and image post-processing (ADC mapping, subtraction) required
- Fusion (non-brain) imaging experience required
- Experience with contrast media preparation/administration and peripheral IV starts preferred
- EKG skills preferred
- Prior travel experience required
- Locals accepted at the same rate
Additional Information
- Perform a wide range of MRI imaging procedures across musculoskeletal, neurological, abdominal, and spine studies
- Utilize advanced imaging techniques including perfusion, spectroscopy, and image post-processing for diagnostic accuracy
- Fingerprinting for Ohio credentialing must be completed urgently upon contract signing
- Candidates outside Ohio but within driving distance must travel to an Ohio fingerprinting location as soon as possible after booking
- Candidates at extreme distances will be mailed a fingerprinting packet to complete promptly
- 2 professional references required, with at least one from a manager, director, or supervisor; a Charge RN is acceptable as the second reference; coworker references are not accepted
- Former employees are eligible for a travel assignment after being away from the facility for 6 months or more
- Current employees of this healthcare system are ineligible for a travel assignment at this location
- RTO must be submitted with the application and built into the contract, limited to 7 days or less
