Description
American Traveler is hiring a Med/Surg Tele RN for a Pulmonary unit position on nights, requiring an active AL or compact RN license and at least 1 year of recent specialty experience.
Details
- Work in a 36-bed Pulmonary telemetry unit within a hospital setting
- Care for patients with a wide range of respiratory disorders and lung diseases or injuries
- Patient ratio of 1:6
- Collaborate with respiratory therapy, physical therapy, care management, and pharmacy teams
- Night shift schedule from 7:00 PM to 7:00 AM
- Every other weekend required
- Holiday coverage required as scheduled
- Must be willing to float to other units and hospitals within the system
- Accepts 36 or 48 hours per week
- Meditech EMR used
Requirements
- Active RN license, State of Alabama or Compact (no temporary licenses accepted)
- Current BLS certification (AHA or Red Cross)
- Associate degree in nursing required
- 2 years of RN experience required; candidates with 18 months of experience under the highest level of professional license will be considered
- 1 year of recent experience in Med/Surg Tele or Pulmonary specialty required
- NURSYS license verification required
- No prior license violations, past or current, permitted

- Requires a strong foundation in general medicine along with respiratory care expertise

- Solid navy scrubs required per dress code
