Description

American Traveler is hiring an experienced RN for a Medical/Surgical position requiring 3 years of experience and BLS/ACLS certification.

Details

Work on a 21-bed Medical/Surgical unit (3 East)
Non-infectious patient population with a focus on post-operative patients
Cerner EMR experience preferred
Day shift schedule with 10-hour shifts
Required to work every other weekend, with candidates open to every weekend also considered
No on-call responsibilities

Requirements

Active IL RN license required
Current BLS and ACLS certifications required
Minimum 3 years of Medical/Surgical nursing experience required

Additional Information

Provide post-operative nursing care on a Medical/Surgical unit

Pros

The pay was good and the staff was reasonably supportive.

Cons

The paperwork was sometimes byzantine. They use a version of Epic that is customized to the facility. Someone is always looking over your shoulder and evaluating your fitness for the job. You have to rock that charting!
