Description

American Traveler is hiring a Staff RN for an Emergency Department night shift position requiring 2+ years of experience and an active OH or compact RN license.

Details

• Work in the Emergency Department of a hospital setting
• Night shift schedule from 7PM to 7:30AM
• 13-week assignment length
• 36 guaranteed hours

Requirements

• Active RN license (Ohio or Compact) currently in hand
• Current certifications: Basic Life Support (BLS), Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS), and Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS)
• Minimum 2 years of nursing experience required
• Associate degree in nursing required; Bachelor's degree in nursing preferred
• Strong interpersonal, communication, critical thinking, and problem-solving skills required
• Ability to exert up to 20-50 pounds of force occasionally and 10-25 pounds frequently

Additional Information

• Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate individualized patient care using the nursing process
• Provide patient and family education from admission through discharge
• Administer medications and perform treatments safely and accurately
• Notify physicians of pertinent patient status changes and implement physician orders
• Ensure documentation of nursing care is thorough, concise, accurate, and legible
• Collaborate with physicians and healthcare team members to deliver quality patient-centered care
• Ensure equipment and supplies are available and report malfunctions appropriately
