Description

American Traveler is hiring a Labor & Delivery RN for a rural hospital night shift position requiring at least 2 years of LDR experience and willingness to float to MS and care for pediatric patients.

Details

• Labor & Delivery unit within a rural hospital setting
• Night shift schedule from 18:45 to 07:15
• Every other weekend required
• 2-3 on-call shifts per month
• Holiday coverage required on a rotating basis
• Floating to MS as needed for overflow patients, including pediatric patient care
• EPIC EMR experience highly preferred

Requirements

• Active RN license (KS or Compact)
• Minimum 2 years of LDR experience required, 3+ years in a rural hospital setting preferred
• Current certifications: AHA BLS, ACLS, PALS, and NRP
• Must have completed an intermediate or advanced fetal monitoring class within the past 24 months
• Must be fully committed to obtaining PALS certification prior to start if not already held
• Previous travel nursing experience is a plus

• Provide comprehensive nursing care to Labor & Delivery patients and float to MS to support pediatric patients as needed
• Facility is nicotine-free
• Local and travel candidates accepted at the same bill rate, though candidates must reside outside a 60-mile radius of the facility to qualify for the travel rate
• Virtual orientation held on Mondays
