Description
American Traveler is hiring an experienced RN for a CVICU Night Shift position requiring cardiac/ICU experience and proficiency with ventilators and vasoactive drips.
Details
- Progressive Care Unit within a hospital setting specializing in cardiovascular intensive care
- 15-bed unit with a 2:1 patient ratio
- Night shift schedule, 7:00 PM to 7:30 AM, working three 12-hour shifts per week
- 13-week assignment
- 6 weekend shifts required per 6-week schedule
- No on-call responsibilities
- Uses Cerner EMR system
- Floating required to Medical ICU and Progressive Care Unit
- Typical procedures include post-CABG, STEMI, and vascular cases
Requirements
- Active AZ RN license or compact license required
- Current BLS and ACLS certifications required
- Minimum 2 years of recent cardiac/ICU experience required
- Experience with ventilators and vasoactive drips required
- Experience with open heart, balloon pump, or CRRT preferred
- No certifications expiring within the first 30 days of assignment start
- No employment gaps of 90 days or more within the past 12 months
Additional Information
- Provide critical care nursing to cardiovascular ICU patients including post-CABG, STEMI, and vascular cases
- Solid color scrubs accepted, no specific color preference
- Must live outside a 50-mile radius of the facility to qualify for this travel position
- RTO requests must be less than one week
- First-time travelers are welcome to apply
- Candidates who worked as permanent staff at this health system within the past 2 years will not be considered
