Description

American Traveler is hiring an Ultrasound Technologist/Sonographer for a rural community hospital setting, requiring 2+ years experience and adult echocardiography skills.

Details

• Position based in the Diagnostic Radiology department of an acute care hospital
• General sonography specialty with adult, geriatric, and pediatric patient populations
• Day shift schedule from 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM
• 13-week assignment length
• Weekend shifts as needed on an every-other-weekend rotation
• Call requirements include alternating weekends from 0800-1600
• No floating required
• Uses Mindray Resona 7 ultrasound equipment
• Meditech EHR system used for charting

Requirements

• Minimum of 2 years experience as an Ultrasound Technologist/Sonographer required
• Adult echocardiography experience required
• General sonography experience with vascular skills preferred
• Additional echocardiography experience preferred
• Rural community hospital experience required
• BLS certification required
• RDMS certification preferred
• License required if applicable
• Certification/licensure required to work as an Ultrasound Tech in KY

Additional Information

• Perform general sonography procedures for a diverse patient population including geriatric, adult, and pediatric patients
• Report to the Radiology Director
• Professional demeanor and strong work ethic expected
• Facility is an undesignated trauma level rural community hospital
• Candidates must reside 60 miles or greater from the facility to be eligible for travel rate consideration
• Candidates cannot have worked as permanent staff at any LifePoint facility within the past 12 months
• Cannot be employed elsewhere on a full-time basis while on assignment
