Description
American Traveler is seeking a Speech-Language Pathologist for a 13-week travel assignment at an inpatient rehabilitation hospital, requiring 1-3 years of SLP experience and a Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology.
Details
- 40-bed inpatient acute rehabilitation hospital setting
- Works within the Speech Therapy department
- Treats a general adult patient population
- Common diagnoses include stroke, TBI, spinal cord injury, and debility
- Uses EPIC and Rehab Connect EHR systems
- Day shift schedule from 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM
- Weekend coverage required approximately once a month
- 13-week assignment length
Requirements
- Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology required
- SLP license required if applicable
- 1-3 years of experience as a Speech-Language Pathologist
- AHA certifications required
- Experience in acute care, skilled nursing, or inpatient rehab hospital settings preferred
- Basic computer knowledge required
- Strong verbal and written communication skills in English
- Must be a cooperative team player
Additional Information
- Provides rehabilitation care to patients recovering from stroke, brain injury, neurological conditions, trauma, spinal cord injury, amputation, and orthopedic injury
- Collaborates with an interdisciplinary rehabilitation team to maximize patient health, function, and quality of life
- Black scrubs required for this assignment
- First day reporting time is between 7:30-8:00 AM
- Candidates must live more than 60 miles from the facility to be eligible for this assignment
- Candidates who have worked as permanent staff at any LifePoint facility within the last 12 months are not eligible
- Must not be employed elsewhere on a full-time basis
