Description

American Traveler is seeking a Speech-Language Pathologist for a 13-week travel assignment at an inpatient rehabilitation hospital, requiring 1-3 years of SLP experience and a Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology.

Details

• 40-bed inpatient acute rehabilitation hospital setting
• Works within the Speech Therapy department
• Treats a general adult patient population
• Common diagnoses include stroke, TBI, spinal cord injury, and debility
• Uses EPIC and Rehab Connect EHR systems
• Day shift schedule from 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM
• Weekend coverage required approximately once a month
• 13-week assignment length

Requirements

• Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology required
• SLP license required if applicable
• 1-3 years of experience as a Speech-Language Pathologist
• AHA certifications required
• Experience in acute care, skilled nursing, or inpatient rehab hospital settings preferred
• Basic computer knowledge required
• Strong verbal and written communication skills in English
• Must be a cooperative team player

Additional Information

• Provides rehabilitation care to patients recovering from stroke, brain injury, neurological conditions, trauma, spinal cord injury, amputation, and orthopedic injury
• Collaborates with an interdisciplinary rehabilitation team to maximize patient health, function, and quality of life
• Black scrubs required for this assignment
• First day reporting time is between 7:30-8:00 AM
• Candidates must live more than 60 miles from the facility to be eligible for this assignment
• Candidates who have worked as permanent staff at any LifePoint facility within the last 12 months are not eligible
• Must not be employed elsewhere on a full-time basis
