Description

American Traveler is hiring an RN for an Emergency Department position requiring 1 year of ED experience, ALS/BLS/TNCC/ENPC certifications, and a TX or compact RN license.

Details

• 13-week contract assignment in a hospital Emergency Department
• 23-bed unit with 40 staff members
• Day shift staffed with 1 CNC, 5 RNs, 1 Paramedic, and 1 PCT (fluctuates based on volume)
• Night shift staffed with 1 CNC, 5 RNs, 1 Paramedic, and 1 PCT (fluctuates based on volume)
• Midshift staffed with 4 RNs (fluctuates based on volume)
• Patient ratio of 4:1
• Shift hours from 7:00 AM to 7:00 PM
• 4 weekend shifts required per schedule
• No on-call requirements
• Uses Welch Allyn and GE equipment
• Uses Meditech EMR
• Performs procedures including cardioversion, TNK, and moderate sedation

Requirements

• Active TX or compact RN license required
• Current certifications required: ALS, BLS, ENPC, and TNCC
• Minimum 1 year of recent Emergency Department experience required
• 2+ years of ED experience preferred
• ENPC preferred over PALS
• No gaps in work history of 90+ days within the past 12 months
• US Social Security Number and date of birth required for consideration (no Canadian SSN accepted)
• One professional reference required
