Description
American Traveler is hiring an experienced Labor & Delivery RN for a 13-week travel assignment requiring 2+ years of high-volume L&D experience and EFM/NIHSS certifications.
Details
- Work in the Labor & Delivery unit of a hospital setting
- 12-hour day shifts from 7:00 AM to 7:30 PM with 36 hours guaranteed per week
- Weekend schedule to be determined by the facility
- On-call schedule to be determined by the facility
- Must be willing to work the facility's schedule with no scheduling restrictions
- 13-week contract assignment
Requirements
- Active RN license (Maryland or Compact)
- Current certifications: BLS (AHA), ACLS (AHA), NIHSS, and NRP
- Willingness to obtain EFM certification within 48 hours of offer if not already held
- Willingness to obtain NIHSS certification within 48 hours of offer if not already held
- 2+ years of recent high-volume Labor & Delivery experience required
- COVID vaccination required with state-recorded documentation, declinations not accepted
- Resume with all employment gaps over 30 days clearly explained
- One supervisory reference from the last 6 months and one from the last 12 months
Additional Information
- Assess, plan, implement, evaluate, and document nursing care for L&D patients in accordance with professional nursing standards
- Accountable for the quality of nursing care delivered by self and any staff under direction
- Utilizes specialized nursing knowledge and judgment to provide age-appropriate patient care
- Local candidates are accepted
- No more than 5 days of requested time off (RTO) during the assignment
