Description
American Traveler is seeking an Outpatient Physical Therapist with 1+ year of experience for a short-term acute care facility, requiring BLS certification.
Details
- Outpatient Physical Therapy setting within a short-term acute care hospital
- Day shift schedule, 5x8 hours, Monday-Friday 8:00 AM-4:30 PM
- Occasional Saturday on-call coverage required
- Floating within the hospital or to nearby affiliate hospitals is required for all travelers
- Uses Cerner for charting
- Patient population includes orthopedic, neurologic, and pediatric conditions
Requirements
- Minimum 1 year of recent experience required
- BLS certification required
- Manual Therapy certification preferred
- Cerner charting experience preferred
- License required if applicable
- Pending state license accepted
- 2 supervisor references required
- Experience with orthopedic conditions such as joint replacements, sprains, and post-op rehabilitation
- Experience with modalities including E-stim, ultrasound, traction, and cryotherapy preferred
- Experience with adaptive equipment, gait training, and patient/family education
Additional Information
- Main responsibilities include evaluation, treatment planning, and discharge planning for outpatient PT patients
- Must work 2 of 3 major holidays
- Local candidates accepted
