Description

American Traveler is hiring an experienced RN for a Med/Surg position requiring a compact or New Mexico RN license and AHA certifications.

Details

• Work in the Medical Surgical Combination unit of a 199-bed hospital
• 13-week assignment with a day shift schedule from 7:00 AM to 7:00 PM
• Facility is Joint Commission Accredited with a Chest Pain Center and Certified Primary Stroke Center designation

Requirements

• Active RN license (Compact or New Mexico state license) required
• AHA certifications required
• Minimum 2 years of RN Med/Surg experience required
• Fingerprinting required prior to hire per New Mexico state requirement for all clinical staff, with documentation that the background check is in process
• Candidates may start on a 14-day waiver while awaiting fingerprint results but must be supervised during this period
• Social Security number and date of birth required for consideration
• Active Nursys/licensure verification required at time of consideration

Additional Information

• Provide direct patient care within a Medical Surgical unit setting
• Weekly orientation held on Mondays
• Candidates must reside 60 miles or greater from the facility to qualify for the travel rate
• Local candidates within 60 miles are considered at the local rate
• Cannot have worked as permanent staff at any LifePoint facility within the last 12 months
• Cannot be employed elsewhere full-time while on assignment
• Facility located in Las Cruces, NM, offering year-round sunshine and access to outdoor recreation including hiking, biking, and horseback riding
