Description
American Traveler is hiring an experienced RN for an Emergency Dept position requiring 5+ years of experience and a VA or compact RN license.
Details
- >work in the Emergency Room of a 97-bed acute care hospital offering surgical services, medical imaging, and an ICU
- Patient population spans all patients through the age spectrum with standard ER cases
- Uses Meditech EHR
- Night shift schedule from 7:00 PM to 7:00 AM
- 36 guaranteed hours per week
- Required to work every other weekend
- No on-call responsibilities
- Rare floating required, limited to units appropriate to skill level or as additional support
Requirements
- Active RN license (Standard or Compact) for Virginia currently in hand
- Current certifications: ACLS, PALS, BLS, and NIHSS
- 5+ years of ER nursing experience required
- Proficient in phlebotomy, IV insertion, EKG, splinting, wound care, and patient transport
- Self-motivated and self-sufficient with the ability to perform all ER tasks independently
- Team-oriented with a patient-centered approach
Additional Information
- Deliver comprehensive emergency care across the full patient age spectrum
- Focus on creating a positive experience for patients and families while meeting operational metrics
- Must reside more than 60 miles from the facility to be eligible for this travel position
- Cannot have worked as permanent staff at any LifePoint facility within the last 12 months
- Cannot be employed elsewhere full-time while on assignment
