Description
American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a Cath Lab Nurse Manager position in Interventional Radiology, requiring an Oregon RN license, BSN, and prior IR/Cath Lab or OR management experience.
Details
- Work in the Interventional Radiology/Cath Lab department of a hospital setting
- Coordinate patient care for interventional radiology and cardiology procedures
- Manage a multidisciplinary team including RNs, Radiology Technologists, and Cardiovascular Technologists
- Day shift schedule with 5 shifts per week at 8 hours per shift
- May function in staff roles as needed, including circulator, moderate sedation nurse, scrub, or hemodynamic monitor
- Reports directly to the OR Director
Requirements
- Active RN license in the State of Oregon
- Current BLS and ACLS certifications required
- BSN required; MSN preferred
- Minimum one year of experience in Interventional Radiology or Cath Lab circulating and monitoring, or as a manager/supervisor/coordinator in an OR
- Management or supervisory experience in Interventional Radiology or Cath Lab preferred
- IV certification required
- Specialty certifications such as RCIS or NIH Stroke Scale preferred
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs independently and assist with patient transfers over 100 lbs using proper techniques or team assistance
Additional Information
- Oversee daily operational and fiscal management of the interventional area in coordination with the OR Director
- Ensure departmental compliance with medical/legal, regulatory, and accreditation standards
- Provide direct supervision, performance evaluation, and feedback to RNs, Rad Techs, and CVTs
- Coordinate staffing, supplies, equipment, and inventory management for the department
- Collaborate with Radiology, Cardiology, and House Supervisor to manage daily departmental activities
- Participate in performance improvement projects and evidence-based practice initiatives
- Serve as a patient advocate, ensuring privacy, safety, and quality care standards
- Work in a fast-paced healthcare environment requiring quick response to emergencies and high-pressure situations
- Participate in required education for DNV programs as applicable to the role
