Description

American Traveler is hiring a lead Nuclear Medicine Technologist requiring CNMT (ARRT or NMTCB) certification and proficiency with GE camera systems for cardiac studies.

Details

• Hospital-based Nuclear Medicine department serving adult patients
• This is a lead position requiring the ability to work independently without direct supervision
• Facility primarily performs Nuclear Medicine studies including cardiac (heart) imaging
• Uses GE camera and operating systems
• Uses Nuc Trac through Cardinal Health for dose tracking
• 4x10 hour day shifts from 6:30 AM to 4:30 PM, Monday through Thursday, or five 8-hour days depending on patient volume
• No on-call or weekend requirements
• Travelers are expected to float unless otherwise stated

Requirements

• CNMT certification (ARRT or NMTCB) required
• BLS certification required
• Minimum of 1 year of experience required
• Experience with GE operating systems required
• Proficiency in cardiac Nuclear Medicine studies (Myocardial, Adenosine infusion, Exercise/Rest, Pharmacological Stress)
• Experience with SPECT, Bone, Brain, Liver, Renal, Thyroid, and other Nuclear Medicine procedures
• Lead or management experience preferred
• Epic experience within the past 12 months required, with successful completion of Epic competency exam
• Active compact or TN license required if applicable
• Must be able to work independently with minimal supervision
• Skilled in drawing venous blood, starting and maintaining IVs, and radioactive materials handling
• Flu vaccine exemptions not accepted

Additional Information

• Perform a variety of Nuclear Medicine studies including bone scans, myocardial perfusion imaging, HIDA scans, MUGA scans, and lung ventilation/perfusion studies
• Responsible for isolation precautions and PPE compliance
• Handle storage, handling, and disposal of radioactive materials
• Local candidates accepted at the same rate
• Candidates requiring respirator fit testing must be clean-shaven
