Description
American Traveler is hiring an Echo Technologist / Cardiac Sonographer with ARDMS RDCS or CCI RCS certification and at least 1 year of experience for an outpatient cardiology setting.
Details
- Adult outpatient cardiology setting within a cardiology practice
- 4 echo rooms with 2 dedicated stress echo rooms on a rotating basis
- Average caseload of 9 patients per day across all rooms, approximately 8 patients per day at one exam per hour
- Uses GE VE95 and GE S70 ultrasound systems, GE case machines, and Intellispace Cardiovascular (ISCV) PACS and reporting system
- Day shift schedule Monday-Thursday 8:30 AM-5:00 PM and Friday 8:00 AM-4:30 PM
- May float to 3 facilities within a 30-mile radius as needed, not necessarily daily but must be willing and available
Requirements
- Minimum of 1 year of experience as an Echo Tech/Cardiac Sonographer, 2 years highly preferred
- ARDMS RDCS or CCI RCS certification required
- BLS certification required
- License required if applicable
- Epic charting system experience required
- Teaching hospital, community hospital, and Trauma Level I/II experience preferred
- Skills required include adult echo, 3-D echo, bubble study, imaging with contrast agents, M-mode, RVIT, RVOT, and treadmill stress echo
- IV insertion skills preferred, willing to train if not already proficient
- Proficiency in obtaining 12-lead EKG/ECG and following isolation precautions/PPE protocols
- 1 supervisory reference from within the last year required for consideration
Additional Information
- Perform adult echocardiograms including stress echo, 3-D echo, and bubble studies using contrast agents
- Biweekly orientation schedule
- Flu vaccine required from October 31 through March 31 with no exemptions
- Local candidates accepted within a 75-mile radius of the facility at a reduced rate
