Description
American Traveler is hiring an experienced RN Perioperative Circulator for a Level 1 trauma Adult Surgery unit, requiring at least one year of acute operating room experience and current CNOR preferred.
Details
- Work in the Adult Surgery unit of a Level 1 trauma hospital environment
- Serve as Perioperative Circulator providing direct and indirect nursing care to patients in the operating room
- 13-week assignment on a Days shift schedule
- Shifts are Friday, Saturday, and Sunday from 0630-1900, totaling 36 hours per week
- Call and weekend coverage required
Requirements
- Active RN license (Oklahoma State Board of Nursing or multistate compact eNLC) required
- Current BLS certification from the American Heart Association required
- Minimum of one year of experience in an acute operating room environment required
- 6+ months of experience in a Level 1 trauma setting required
- Associate's Degree in Nursing from an accredited program required; BSN preferred
- CNOR certification preferred
- Strong knowledge of AORN Standards and professional nursing theory, practices, and techniques required
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills required
- Ability to work effectively as part of a team required
Additional Information
- Plan, coordinate, deliver, and evaluate nursing care for patients undergoing operative or other invasive procedures
- Individualize patient care based on health status, age, and type of surgery or procedure
- Perform ongoing evaluation and documentation of all components of perioperative patient care using the nursing process
- Must reside outside a 50-mile radius of the facility to be eligible for this position
- Returning travelers may extend a contract only one time for a maximum of 26 weeks, after which a 6-month separation is required before reapplying
- Facility maintains strict compliance deadlines and will not accommodate delayed start dates
