Description
American Traveler is hiring an experienced RN for a Pre-Op/PACU position requiring ACLS, BLS, and PALS certifications along with critical care experience.
Details
- Work in the Preop/PACU unit of a hospital setting
- 10-bed unit staffed with 2 techs
- Patient ratios of 1:1 in Phase I and 2-4 in Phase II
- Cares for patients receiving general anesthesia from the OR, cath lab, EP lab, Endo, IR, and Labor and Delivery
- Uses Meditech Expanse for documentation
- Scheduled 40 hours per week plus call responsibilities
- Nurses work in both Preop and PACU
- No floating required
- Shift hours are 12:30 PM to 9:00 PM
Requirements
- Active R
- Active RN license (NH or Compact) currently in hand
- Current certifications: ACLS, BLS, and PALS
- Minimum 2 years of RN experience required
- Critical care patient experience required
- No employment gaps of 90 days or more within the past 12 months
Additional Information
- Provide perioperative nursing care across Preop and PACU phases for patients undergoing general anesthesia
- Join an experienced team known for a positive attitude and high-quality patient care
- Scrubs required as part of the dress code
- Must reside outside a 50-mile radius of the facility; local candidates will not be considered
