Description
American Traveler is hiring an experienced RN for a Med/Surg Telemetry unit position requiring MD or compact RN licensure and IV skills.
Details
- Work in the Carol Ball Medicine Unit, a 38-bed Med/Surg Telemetry unit
- Patient population includes cardiovascular, pulmonary, gastrointestinal, and substance abuse cases, as well as medical diagnoses with underlying psychiatric disorders
- RN to patient ratio is 1:5 on days and 1:6 on nights and weekends
- PCT to patient ratio is 1:10
- 13-week assignment with a 36-hour work week
- Day shift schedule: 7:00 AM - 7:30 PM
- Every other weekend required
- No on-call requirements
Requirements
- Active RN license (Maryland or Compact) currently in hand
- Telemetry Med/Surg unit experience required
- IV skills required
- Comparable facility size experience required
Additional Information
- Provide nursing care to medical patients with cardiovascular, pulmonary, gastrointestinal, and psychiatric comorbidities on a telemetry-monitored unit
- Holiday coverage required on a rotating (every other) and as-needed basis
- Local candidates accepted at the same pay rate
