Description

American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a Cardiac Cath Lab position requiring 2 recent years of Cath Lab experience and ARRT certification at a Level 1 facility.

Details

• Work in the Cardiac Cath Lab of a Level 1 hospital environment
• Cases include STEMI, Shock, VAD, ECMO, and Structural Heart procedures
• Uses Phillips imaging equipment with new Siemens imaging equipment being added
• Documentation completed in Epic EMR, with hemodynamic monitoring in Xper
• Day shift schedule, 8 hours per day, 40 hours per week, 5 days per week

Requirements

• Active RN license (Oklahoma State Board of Nursing or multistate compact/eNLC)
• Current BLS and ACLS certifications from the American Heart Association (AHA)
• Minimum of 2 recent years of Cath Lab experience required
• ARRT certification required
• Stepdown/PCU experience required
• Associate's Degree in Nursing from an accredited program required; BSN preferred
• Prior travel experience preferred
• Knowledge of professional nursing theories, practices, techniques, and procedures
• Strong verbal and written communication skills

Additional Information

• Provide direct nursing care to a variety of patients with health problems ranging from simple to complex
• Assist physicians in patient examinations and minor diagnostic procedures and treatments
• Monitor physiological data, intervene when necessary, and administer prescribed medications and IV therapies
• Communicate care plans with patients and families through discharge
• Delegate tasks to support staff as needed
• Must reside outside a 50-mile radius of the facility to be eligible for this position
• Compliance documentation must be completed promptly, as start dates cannot be pushed once booked
• Returning workers may only extend once for a total of 26 weeks, after which a 6-month separation is required before reapplying
