Description

American Traveler is seeking a Physical Therapist for an acute care hospital setting requiring 1+ years of experience and BLS certification.

Details

• Acute care hospital setting
• Days shift, Monday through Friday 0800-1730, with one weekend per month
• 9-hour shifts, 40 hours per week
• Uses Epic EMR
• Provides care to patients with neuromuscular, orthopedic, and other physically-related disorders
• May float to other areas or sites as needed
• Requires flexibility to work standard and flexible hours, including weekends, holidays, and after hours

Requirements

• Minimum 1 year of experience required
• BLS certification required
• Physical Therapist license required from a participating state in the National Licensure Compact (license required if applicable)
• Dry Needling Certification required only if performing dry needling functions
• Previous direct patient care experience in outpatient, inpatient, or inpatient rehab settings preferred
• Prior EMR experience preferred
• Driver's license copy required for consideration

Additional Information

• Responsibilities include a variety of therapeutic interventions such as ADL retraining, patient education in home safety, adaptive equipment and compensation techniques, therapeutic exercise programs, manual therapy, aquatic therapy, and neuromuscular re-education
• Participates in professional responsibilities including documentation, program development, teaching, and enhancement of clinical skills
• Care provided under the supervision of a licensed physical therapist
• Candidates must reside at least 60 miles from the facility
• Clinicians must be in-state for orientation week even if initial modules are completed remotely
