Description
American Traveler is seeking a Physical Therapist for an acute care hospital setting requiring 1+ years of experience and BLS certification.
Details
- Acute care hospital setting
- Days shift, Monday through Friday 0800-1730, with one weekend per month
- 9-hour shifts, 40 hours per week
- Uses Epic EMR
- Provides care to patients with neuromuscular, orthopedic, and other physically-related disorders
- May float to other areas or sites as needed
- Requires flexibility to work standard and flexible hours, including weekends, holidays, and after hours
Requirements
- Minimum 1 year of experience required
- BLS certification required
- Physical Therapist license required from a participating state in the National Licensure Compact (license required if applicable)
- Dry Needling Certification required only if performing dry needling functions
- Previous direct patient care experience in outpatient, inpatient, or inpatient rehab settings preferred
- Prior EMR experience preferred
- Driver's license copy required for consideration
Additional Information
- Responsibilities include a variety of therapeutic interventions such as ADL retraining, patient education in home safety, adaptive equipment and compensation techniques, therapeutic exercise programs, manual therapy, aquatic therapy, and neuromuscular re-education
- Participates in professional responsibilities including documentation, program development, teaching, and enhancement of clinical skills
- Care provided under the supervision of a licensed physical therapist
- Candidates must reside at least 60 miles from the facility
- Clinicians must be in-state for orientation week even if initial modules are completed remotely
