Description

American Traveler is hiring an experienced ER RN for a 13-week travel assignment requiring 2+ years of ED experience, prior travel experience, and a WV or compact RN license.

Details

• Work in the Emergency Department of a hospital setting
• General ED serving combined adult and pediatric patients
• 1:4 patient ratio
• 4x12-hour day shift schedule from 11:00 to 23:00
• Weekday schedule with every other weekend required
• Holiday coverage required
• No call, charge, or float responsibilities
• Uses Cerner charting system

Requirements

• Active WV or compact RN license required
• Current certifications: BLS, ACLS, PALS (CPI, MAB, NRP, and TNCC preferred)
• Minimum 2 years of ED experience required, with 5+ years and small ED experience preferred
• Prior travel nursing experience required
• Cerner charting experience required
• Skilled in IV starts, triage, and related ED procedures
• Teaching hospital, community hospital, and Trauma Level I/II experience preferred

Additional Information

• Provide comprehensive emergency care across pediatric and adult populations including trauma, cardiac, respiratory, neurological, and psychiatric cases
• Manage a wide range of ED presentations such as CVA, head injury, seizures, sepsis, overdose, and traumatic injuries
• Administer emergency medications, IV therapy, and blood products as needed
• Perform triage, EKG interpretation, and splinting/orthopedic care
• Must reside within a 75-mile radius of the facility
• Burgundy scrubs required
• First-time travelers are not accepted
