Description
American Traveler is hiring an experienced RN for an Operating Room position requiring robotic, laparoscopic, microsurgery, and neurosurgery experience.
Details
- Work in the Operating Room Complex of a hospital environment
- Surgical/OR patient population across all age groups
- Uses EPIC EMR system
- Days shift, 4x10 schedule with hours variable depending on scheduled surgeries
- Weekend hours as needed
- Call requirements on a rotation basis per unit
- Rotating holiday coverage required
Requirements
- Active RN license (Missouri or Compact) currently in hand
- Current certifications: Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS)
- 3+ years of RN experience required
- Robotic, laparoscopic, microsurgery, and neurosurgery experience required
- Ability to work in a rapid-paced environment and navigate multiple computer systems
- Strong problem-solving skills required
- Must work well in a team environment as well as independently
Additional Information
- Perform direct patient care activities including assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation for all age groups
- Monitor and coordinate patient care activities with ancillary departments to optimize patient care and comfort
- Black scrubs provided by the facility for OR staff
- Flu vaccination required for all travelers from November 1 through April 1, with exemptions requiring client approval
- Up to 5 days of requested time off allowed but must be made up during the assignment
- No employment gaps of 90+ days within the past 12 months
- Local candidates accepted
