Description
American Traveler is hiring an experienced RN for a Cath Lab position at a STEMI center requiring ACLS certification and at least 2 years of cath lab experience.
Details
- Work in the Cath Lab of a STEMI center hospital environment
- Day shift schedule with 4x10 hour shifts from 9:00 AM to 7:30 PM
- Call responsibilities 1-2 times per week
- Required to work 1 weekend per month
- Blocked scheduling will be considered
- Epic charting system experience preferred
Requirements
- Active RN license (Missouri or Compact) currently in hand
- Current certifications: Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS)
- NIH Stroke Scale (NIHSS) certification preferred
- Minimum 2 years of Cath Lab experience required
- Experience with cardiac cath lab procedures including diagnostic and interventional catheterizations, ASD closures, cardiac implant closure devices, cardiac stent placement, left and right heart catheterization, and percutaneous coronary interventions (PCI)
- Experience with IABP placement/removal, Impella insertion, pacemaker/defibrillator lead extraction, pulmonary artery line/Swan Ganz monitoring, and rotablator atherectomy preferred
- Ability to scrub in for procedures is a significant advantage
- Experience in Diagnostic Cardiac Cath Lab and Interventional Cardiac Cath Lab required, EP Lab experience preferred
- Prior travel nurse experience not required
