Description
American Traveler is seeking a Certified Respiratory Therapist for a night shift position at a Level III trauma teaching hospital, requiring 2+ years of experience and comfort treating both adult and pediatric ICU patients.
Details
- Short-term acute care, Level III trauma center and teaching hospital setting
- Respiratory/Neuro Diagnostics-CRT unit
- Treats adult and pediatric patients in ICU settings
- 13-week assignment
- Night shift, 4x12-hour shifts from 6:00 PM to 6:00 AM
- Weekend rotation required every other weekend
- No on-call requirements
- Floating within scope required to meet facility needs, including to like units, other hospital areas, or sister campus depending on booking
- Uses Epic charting system
Requirements
- Minimum 2 years of experience required
- Current State or Compact RRT license required (license required if applicable)
- Pending license not accepted
- BLS certification required
- Advanced EKG exam required as part of compliance for this specialty
- Epic EMR experience required
- Must be comfortable working with adult and pediatric patients in ICU settings
- At least 1 supervisor reference required
- SSN and DOB required for consideration
Additional Information
- Provide respiratory therapy and neuro diagnostic services within a Level III trauma teaching hospital environment
- Scrub color requirement: solid black or black and white
- Maximum of 4 days RTO permitted, with only 1 holiday approved
- All call-offs for scheduled shifts require a makeup shift as determined by the department
- Facility does not accept local candidates within a 50-mile radius of the main campus
- Candidates must have been gone for 1 year to return as a traveler
- Night shift travelers may extend their contract up to twice, then must wait 6 months before reapplying as a traveler
- First-time travelers may be considered for this role
