Description

American Traveler is hiring an experienced RN for an Emergency Department position requiring NIHSS and ESI certification with rotating on-call and weekend responsibilities.

Details

  • Work in a high-acuity Emergency Department seeing approximately 175-200 patients per day
  • Department supports transplant center, burn center, LVAD, total heart, PICU, NICU, L&D, comprehensive stroke center, ECMO cannulation in ED, and chest pain center services
  • 1:4 patient ratio
  • Night shift schedule: 3x12 hour shifts, 7:00 PM to 7:00 AM
  • Rotating on-call and rotating weekend call required
  • Floating required to other units and sister facilities within a 75-mile radius as needed
  • Epic charting system preferred
  • Block scheduling not accommodated

Requirements

  • Active RN license (Oklahoma or Compact) required, pending licenses not accepted
  • Current certifications required: BLS, ACLS, PALS, NIHSS, and ESI
  • TNCC certification preferred
  • Minimum 2 years of ER experience in an acute care setting required, 3 years preferred
  • Minimum experience must include work in a 30-bed or larger ER
  • Level I and Level II Trauma Center experience preferred
  • Previous charge experience preferred
  • Skills in psychiatric care, IV therapy, pediatrics, respiratory management, neurological care, and cardiac monitoring preferred
  • Experience in Level II Trauma Center, STEMI Certified Facility, and Stroke Certified Facility settings preferred
  • Valid driver's license or state-issued ID required
  • Utility bill in candidate's name with matching address within the last three months required
  • Permanent address must be greater than 75 miles from the facility
  • Two supervisory references required
  • Copies of certifications required for consideration

Additional Information

  • Provide emergency nursing care to a combined adult/pediatric patient population in a fast-paced, high-acuity environment
  • Facility is a Level II Trauma Center and Stroke/STEMI certified facility
  • Maximum RTO of 5 days per 13-week assignment, no holidays or blackout dates permitted
  • Any gaps in work history of 3 months or more require an explanation
  • Former INTEGRIS employees must have at least 1 year of separation to be eligible for this travel assignment
  • First-time travelers are welcome to apply, though candidates should be seasoned RNs
  • Local candidates within 75 miles of the facility are not eligible for this position
