Description

American Traveler is seeking a Cath Lab / EP Technologist with 1+ year of clinical experience to support cardiac catheterization and interventional procedures.

Details

• ic Catheter Lab setting including diagnostic, interventional, and electrophysiology labs
• Patient population includes adults with cardiovascular disease
• Average caseload of 7 cases per day
• Procedures include cardiac catheterizations, permanent pacemaker implants, and peripheral angiography
• Equipment used includes Philips X-ray, Impella, balloon pump, and Acist injector
• Charting completed in EPIC and Merge systems
• 4x10 hour day shifts from 6:30 AM to 5:00 PM
• Call requirements include 9 shifts per month, with weekday call 5 PM-6 AM and one weekend per month (Fri 5 PM-6 AM, Sat/Sun 6 AM-6 AM)
• Required to float within skillset based on facility needs

Requirements

• Minimum of 1 year of clinical cath lab experience required
• Current BLS certification required
• ARRT (R) and active state license required, or CCI RCIS certification (license required if applicable)
• Experience with cardiac cath procedures, PPM implants, and peripheral angiography required
• Proficiency with EPIC charting system preferred
• Skills in EKG lead placement, vascular access site prep, and sterile field maintenance required
• Ability to recognize life-threatening arrhythmias and perform hemodynamic monitoring preferred

• Responsibilities include equipment setup, patient monitoring, and maintaining sterile technique during procedures
• First-time travelers are accepted for this position
• Local candidates are accepted at the same pay rate
• Clinicians must be available to work 2 of 3 major holidays
• Requests for time off must be approved prior to offer; no changes accommodated once onsite
• Former RWJBH staff must have a minimum 1-year break in service before returning as a travel clinician
• Assignment expected to serve as the clinician's primary work commitment
