Description
American Traveler is seeking a Nuclear Medicine Technologist for an outpatient oncology clinic assignment requiring PET imaging experience and NMTCB certification.
Details
- Outpatient cancer center setting focused on oncology imaging
- Adult and geriatric patient population
- Approximately 12 patients per day
- Primary procedure is PET scans
- Equipment includes GE Omni, with GE and Siemens experience preferred
- Day shift schedule, Monday-Friday, 8:30 AM-4:30 PM (37.5 hours/week)
- 30-minute unpaid lunch break
- No shift rotation
- Radiology provider support
Requirements
- Minimum 2 years of Nuclear Medicine experience required
- NMTCB certification required
- NYS DOH license required (license required if applicable)
- PET imaging experience required
- Experience with venipuncture and blood draws required
- Experience starting and maintaining IVs required
- Experience with safe handling, storage, and disposal of radioactive materials required
- Experience with isolation precautions and appropriate PPE required
- ARRT (N) certification preferred
- ARRT (PET) certification preferred
- PET/CT experience preferred
- Previous Charge Technologist experience preferred
- Hospital experience preferred
- Experience with GE and Siemens imaging equipment preferred
- Epic charting experience preferred but not required
Additional Information
- 8-week assignment length
- Up to 2 pre-approved time-off requests permitted per contract
- No RTO within the first 2 weeks of assignment
- COVID vaccine required with no exceptions
- Local candidates accepted at the same rate
- Returning staff must wait one year before being eligible to return as a traveler
- Employee parking provided at no fee, street parking also available
