Description
American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a Pediatric Cath Lab position requiring at least 2 years of cath lab experience and a VA or compact RN license in hand.
Details
- Pediatric Cath Lab unit within a children's hospital setting
- Low-volume unit performing approximately 140 cases per year
- Day shift schedule with 4x10 hour shifts from 7:00 AM to 5:00 PM
- Role includes circulating duties with options to monitor or scrub depending on skill set
- Uses Epic for charting and GE Mac Lab equipment
- Claris experience preferred for EP procedures but not required
- Call requirements starting at 2 shifts per week with gradual increases based on lab needs
- Candidates will float within scope if needed
Requirements
- Active RN license (VA or Compact) required in hand at time of consideration
- Minimum 2 years of cath lab experience required, including pediatric cath experience
- EP experience preferred but not required
- Required certifications: ACLS, BLS, PALS
- Epic charting experience required
- GE Mac Lab experience required
- Previous charge nurse experience required
- BSN preferred
- Graduation from an ACEN or CCNE accredited nursing program (diploma, Associate's, or BSN accepted)
- 2 professional references required
Additional Information
- Responsibilities include circulating, monitoring, and scrubbing for pediatric cardiac catheterization and electrophysiology procedures
- Facility maintains a natural nail policy
- Facility is a smoke and tobacco free workplace
- All candidates will be assigned non-billable orientation modules to be completed by the Friday of orientation week
- Local candidates accepted at the same base rate with no radius rules
- Both travelers and permanent staff must be separated from the facility for one year before being eligible to return as a traveler
- First-time travelers will be considered for this position
