Description

American Traveler is hiring a Registered Nurse for a Pediatric Cardiovascular ICU (CVPICU) night shift position requiring 2 years of CVPICU experience at a Children's facility.

Details

• Work in the Pediatric Cardiovascular ICU (CVPICU) of a hospital setting
• 13-week assignment on night shift, 3x12 hours (7:00 PM to 7:00 AM)
• Every other weekend (EOW) required
• May float to ICU areas across the AMBH and Scottish Rite campuses, including NICU, TICU, PICU, and CICU
• May also float to general Pediatrics
• Epic EMR experience preferred

Requirements

• Active RN license (GA or Compact) in hand required at time of consideration
• BLS, ACLS, and PALS (AHA only) certifications required
• 2 years of CVPICU experience required, specifically at a Children's facility (general population peds experience not accepted)
• Trauma Level I experience required
• Previous travel nursing experience required
• BSN preferred but not required
• Two professional references from a supervisor level or higher, completed within the last 12 months, required for consideration
• Date of birth and Social Security number required for consideration

Additional Information

• Provide critical care nursing to pediatric cardiovascular patients, including infection control/PPE, wound assessment and care, isolation precautions, and ventilator management
• Facility is a nicotine-free campus and tests candidates for cotinine/nicotine
• Candidates must complete a medication pass/fail test, with a second attempt allowed if the first is failed; failure of the second test results in cancellation
• First-time travelers are accepted if their resume demonstrates the required skills
• RTO dates must be submitted at the time of application
