Description

American Traveler is hiring an RN for an Operating Room position requiring an active MA RN license and ophthalmology and ENT experience.

Details

  • Work in the 6th Floor Surgical Suites of a hospital operating room setting
  • 13-week contract assignment
  • Day shift schedule from 07:00-17:30
  • Uses Epic for charting

Requirements

  • Active MA RN license (no conditional or pending licenses accepted)
  • Current BLS certification (AHA only)
  • Ophthalmology and ENT experience required
  • Primary source verification of professional license required within 30 days of start, updated upon expiration
  • Both NURSYS and BON verification required for nursing license

Additional Information

  • Responsible for assessing patient needs, planning and implementing nursing interventions, and evaluating care effectiveness throughout the surgical process
  • Performs point of care testing and accurate documentation of patient response to interventions
  • Communicates patient clinical status during clinical team rounds and shift changes
  • Utilizes evidence-based nursing knowledge to guide practice decisions
  • May provide leadership in organizing patient care and directing support staff
  • Flu vaccine required with no religious or medical exemptions allowed
  • Local candidates accepted with permanent residence within 60 miles of Boston, MA, at a reduced rate
